Pony Up! Ponies for Everyone...

Pony Up! is a four-piece all girl band from Montreal, Canada that I am currently having a love affair with. They don’t know it, of course, and some may call it more of an obsession than a love affair but I like to be romantic about it.
Currently touring Oz with NZ’s Shaky Hands and OZ’s Starky, these girls aren’t just another chick band. They can actually play their instruments, sing, and write sharp, raw little heartbreakers that some might refer to as songs. Yay for girls!
There’s an underlying sensuality and maturity in several of the offerings from their new album, Make Love to the Judges with Your Eyes. The lyrics express a deep and honest yearning, regret for lost love and are at many times dark and sorrowful but the music turns each song into a bittersweet dirge that is uplifting in many ways. They’ll take you on a heartfelt journey if you let them. And you get to dance on the way. Get to your music store a.s.a.p.
